Since 2019, I have designed merchandise for Old Dominion, a Grammy-nominated, chart-topping country band known for their smooth harmonies and road-trip-ready anthems. My work has included T-shirts, stickers, koozies, and hats, with some designs becoming unexpected fan favorites.
One of the standout designs from this collaboration is the No Bad Vibes sunglasses graphic. Initially created for a koozie and T-shirt, it perfectly captured Old Dominion’s easygoing, road-trip aesthetic. Fans quickly embraced the design, leading to its expansion into a full-sized flag, which repeatedly sold out. It later appeared on a trucker hat, further cementing its place in the No Bad Vibes Tour. Its lasting popularity shows how a well-crafted concept can evolve far beyond its original purpose.
The beach camper van illustration, originally created for a tour poster and T-shirts, embodied Old Dominion’s signature blend of coastal influences and free-spirited energy. The band embraced it so fully that it became the main stage backdrop for the 2023 No Bad Vibes Tour, transforming it from merchandise into a defining visual of the tour. Seeing it behind them each night showed how design can transcend its original format to become an integral piece of an artist’s brand and live experience.
The One Man Band sweatshirt and T-shirt continue to sell years after their initial release, while the Memory Lane T-shirt was a limited-edition drop, making it a standout piece for those who managed to grab one. I’ve also designed stickers and koozies, offering fans simple yet meaningful ways to show their support for the band. More than just products, these designs contribute to a cohesive visual identity, keeping Old Dominion’s merch recognizable and connected to their music.
